Autonomous Balloon Payload
High-altitude weather balloon experiment testing subsystems for a future autonomous glider — reached 28,600 m altitude
Together with my husband, we designed an experiment flown aboard a high-altitude weather balloon to test subsystems for a future autonomous glider. The payload reached an altitude of 28,600 meters (93,832 feet) and traveled 69.6 km horizontally before parachuting back to Earth.

Key Lessons
- Improved telemetry antenna design for longer range
- Better thermal management at high altitude
- Temperature-compensated sensor calibration
- Power supply stability for high current transients
